NPIC6C596APWJ is a CMOS serial input/parallel output octal shift register manufactured by Macroblock. It is a logic-shift register, widely used in a variety of applications in which data must be moved rapidly across multiple bits in a waveform.

The NPIC6C596APWJ is composed of eight stages of flip-flops connected in series. Each flip-flop can hold one bit of digital data.
