The power supply circuit consists of a dual rectifying bridge, a current limiting resistor and a basic series inductor. The dual rectifying bridge consists of 4 diodes in series with a TVS. A current limiting resistor is used to limit the current passing through thebridge, ensuring safe operation. The inductor (L1) is used to store energy and create a smoother voltage profile across the bridge. In operation, the dual rectifying bridge starts conducting current when the voltage at each end of the bridge exceeds the breakdown voltage of the TVS. As the bridge starts conducting current, the inductor stores energy and develops a voltage drop across its terminals, which further increases the voltage drop at each end of the bridge, allowing the current to continue flowing.
