NSH5-AL001 application field and working principle

NSH5-AL001 is a range of current transformers designed for measurement and protection applications. It is applicable to measure AC current up to 60A in three-phase alternating current systems of 50/60Hz.

NSH5-AL001 comes with silver plated copper windings with 180° twist rate that provides no magnetic leakage. As per requirements, the current transformer can provide secondary current outputs up to 5A. It is a general purpose primary Current Transformer which is suitable for 50/60 Hz service.

The NSH5-AL001 current transformer’s main application field is to measure the magnitude and direction of current flow in the circuit. It is used to protect equipment and personnel from high currents by measuring current levels in electrical systems. It is frequently used along with metering devices, circuit breakers, relays, and other protective devices to provide safe operation of electrical power systems.

The NSH5-AL001 current transformer works on the principle of electromagnetic induction. It uses an electrical conductor, a primary coil, to induce a magnetic field in a secondary coil.
