EMI/RFI Filters (LC, RC Networks)

The NUF3101FCT1 is an extremely effective filter designed to reduce electromagnetic interference and radio-frequency interference (EMI/RFI) created by common power supplies. This type of interference is usually caused when all of the power supply lines are not properly filtered in the power supply. By utilizing the filter design, these sources of interference can be greatly reduced, resulting in improved overall system performance.

Application Field

The NUF3101FCT1 is specially designed for server applications, which require high levels of filtering to reduce EMI and RFI interference. Working Principle

The NUF3101FCT1 works by filtering out high-frequency signals from the power supply lines. This is done using multiple stages of inductors and capacitors which make up the filter circuit. The capacitors act as very small resistors, allowing only low-frequency signals to pass through the filter while blocking the higher frequency signals. The inductors form a magnetic field which help to absorb and reduce high-frequency EMI and RFI signals.

The device also utilizes a low-pass, high-pass and neutralization network which further reduce the effects of electromagnetic interference. These networks act as an additional layer of protection, allowing only those signals which are required to pass through the filter while blocking those signals which are deemed to be unwanted interference.

The filter is designed to be extremely easy to install and requires no maintenance. It also has a very low leakage current, meaning it does not draw any leakage current from the power supply.
