EMI/RFI filters play an important role in protecting sensitive electronic equipment from electromagnetic interference (EMI). The NUF9001FCT1 is designed for ±20A three-phase AC-DC and DC-DC power conversion applications. It is a highly efficient filter, featuring a low insertion loss while providing EMI suppression to both AC and DC lines.

The NUF9001FCT1 is a line filter designed for suppressing EMI in AC and DC lines. It features a compact design providing a very low insertion loss, while maintaining maximum attenuation in the EMC band, from 10kHz to 30MHz range. The internally shielded filter consists of three identical elements, each comprising of an inductor, two capacitors and a resistor.

The elementary function of the NUF9001FCT1 is to attenuate noise caused by the coupling of the power conversion circuit to other signals or magnetic fields. Extraneous noise commonly originates from the output side of the power conversion circuit, as well as the input side. The filter helps to attenuate common-mode and differential-mode interfering voltages.

In order to achieve the maximum inner power conversion efficiency, the NUF9001FCT1 incorporates four phase-delay compensation circuits. These phase-delay circuits are connected between every two-phase windings, and during their operation conditions they will automatically sense the load and application conditions and then adjust the magnetic coupling, providing protection against common-mode and differential-mode disturbances over a wide-band.

The NUF9001FCT1 ensures improved power conversion efficiency. Its small size and low profile make it suitable for applications that require high power density. The filter reduces power losses due to the power conversion process and therefore maximising the available power. Additionally, it helps in reducing the heat generated by the power conversion circuit.

The NUF9001FCT1 features an excellent noise suppression capability, with an attenuation of 70dB up to 30MHz. It features a low Leakage Current to ensure lower power consumption and less heat generation. The EMI filter is designed to have a very low leakage current in order to maintain compatibility with all types of applications.

The NUF9001FCT1 offers a wide operating temperature range, from -40°C to +85°C. It is available in two standard HCS packages of 3.2es and 5.8 mm, and is designed to be compatible with existing AC and DC power lines. The filter also includes a short circuit protection device which helps in protecting the power conversion circuit from potential damage caused by short circuits.

The NUF9001FCT1 offers a simple solution for noise suppression in three-phase AC-DC and DC-DC power conversion applications. The filter features an efficient design with a low insertion loss, while providing EMI suppression to both AC and DC lines. Its small size, wide operating temperature range and low leakage current make it one of the best solutions for EMI/RFI filtering applications.
