Temperature sensors, thermostats, and mechanical devices are used to monitor the temperature of an enclosed space. The OHD5R-70B is a mechanical temperature sensor that is capable of accurately measuring temperatures within a range. The sensor is placed in the space that is to be monitored and when the temperature rises or falls to a certain degree, a signal is triggered and transmitted to a central controller.
The OHD5R-70B consists of a housing to contain the sensing apparatus and two thermistors - one for sensing the temperature of the air in the area, and the other for sensing the temperature of the enclosure. Both thermistors are connected to a pair of electrical contacts located on the housing. A resistive element is connected between the contacts. As the temperature changes, the resistance of the resistor varies. This change in resistance is then detected by the controller.
The OHD5R-70B is also equipped with a thermal shut off switch that is designed to disconnect the power supply when the temperature exceeds a pre-determined safe level. This feature is designed to help protect the device from potential damage caused by overheating. The switch can be set to turn off when the temperature reaches a certain level, allowing the device to remain operational until the temperature returns to a safe level.
The OHD5R-70B has two operating modes, continuous monitoring and single zone control. In continuous monitoring mode, the device will sense the temperature of the air and the enclosure and continuously transmit the information to the central controller. In single zone control mode, the device will only transmit data when the temperature of the enclosure or the air changes to a setpoint value that the user has programmed into the device.
The OHD5R-70B is an accurate and reliable temperature sensor that can be used to monitor and control the temperature of a variety of environments. The device is easy to install and requires very little maintenance and can be used in both residential and commercial applications.
