The OPA197IDBVT is a low-power, quad-channel, single-supply, rail-to-rail input and output voltage feedback operational amplifier. It is used in a wide variety of applications, particularly those that employ instrumentation, linear amplifiers, integral amps, buffer amplifiers, and many other types of amplifiers. The OPA197IDBVT features an exceptionally low offset voltage, high common-mode rejection ratio, and wide bandwidth. Additionally, it provides excellent noise performance and has a high open-loop gain for improved linearity over a broad voltage range. These features make it well-suited for applications such as temperature monitoring, pressure measurement, current measurement, strain measurement, and many more.The OPA197IDBVT working principle is based on a differential amplifier architecture with a wide bandwidth, rail-to-rail input common-mode range and rail-to-rail output. It consists of two input stages, each with two differential pairs of complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) transistors. The output stage consists of two gain stages, with each stage controlling a substantial portion of the open-loop gain and providing an additional gain stage of compensation.
The input stage of the OPA197IDBVT amplifier implements both input and output offsets. The input offset voltage, or quiescent voltage, is determined by the bias circuitry and is typically 1 mV or less. The output offset voltage is adjustable, with a typical value of 2.5 mV or less. The common-mode rejection ratio is typically 85 dB or better over the entire supply voltage range. Additionally, the amplifier features a low total harmonic distortion (THD) of 0.003% and a wide gain bandwidth of 5 MHz.
