The OPI7002 optoisolator is a transistor, photovoltaic output component designed to provide electrical isolation between two parts of a circuit. The optoisolator converts electrical signals from one side of an isolation barrier to an optical signal, and then back to an electrical signal on the other side. This ensures that the electrical system is completely isolated from one another and the risk of any short circuits or other electrical problems is eliminated.
The OPI7002 widely used in the filed of industrial automation, HVAC, consumer electronic, control circuits, and safety systems to prevent circuit breakdown and alert users of power supply abnormalities. OPI7002 is also used to prevent high voltage from coming in contact with low voltage systems. This ensures circuit stability and user safety.
The working principle of OPI7002 is based on the principle of photoelectricity. When the input voltage is applied to one of the pins, a current is generated in the component, and this current is used to directly drive the LED. The light emitted from the LED is converted into electrical signals in the photodiode on the other side, and then these electrical signals are outputted. The optoisolator prevents the transmission of electrical noise and interference between the input and output. By isolating the input and output, it ensures the accuracy and stability of the system.
The OPI7002 has the advantages of high electrical isolation, low drive current, wide operating temperature range and long term reliability. The isolation voltage of the product can reach 5000V RMS, far exceeding the typical voltage isolation of transistors. In addition, the OPI7002 features special LED and photodiode, low power consumption, high speed response, and an industry-standard SO-8 package.
