OPL812-OC Application Field and Working Principle
The OPL812-OC is a state-of-the-art wide dynamic range opto-electronic converter (OEC) configured in a convenient optical sensor package. The device can be used to convert optical signals into digital signals, either 0 or 1, according to its programmed threshold. It is one type of Photo Detectors with Logical Output (PDLO) device used to detect and recognize objects.
The OPL812-OC can be used in a variety of application fields, such as: industrial inspection systems, military and aerospace applications, medical equipment, printing systems, automation and intelligent homes. The OPL812-OC is a compact, easy to install, stand-alone device ideal for environments where vibration and high temperatures can inhibit electronics operation. It is also one of the most reliable and cost-effective devices in the optoelectronics industry.
The OPL812-OC mainly consists of a photosensitive elementArray and a programmable logic array. The photosensitive elementArray includes an array of photodiodes that convert optical signals into electrical signals. These electrical signals in turn are applied to the programmable logic array, which is capable of comparing the incoming electrical signals with a preprogrammed threshold. If the threshold is exceeded, the output will automatically change from 0 to 1, and if the signal is below the threshold, the output will be reset to 0.
In addition, the OPL812-OC also has a feature to create an electrical circuit that processes the electrical signals received from the photosensitive elements to generate a logic level output. This output circuit can be programmed to adjust the gain and offset of the output signal. This feature makes it possible for the OPL812-OC to be accurately programmed for specific applications.
The OPL812-OC is designed to work in a wide range of environmental conditions, from temperatures as low as -20°C to as high as +85°C, and can be operated in either sunlight or dim light. This makes it the perfect choice for applications that require reliable, cost-effective, and accurate detection or recognition of objects.
