The ORNTA5000AT1 is one such network/array of resistors, generally known as “resistor packs”, that is capable of meeting the requirements of applications such as medical, automotive, industrial, etc. It is a high-density resistor network and it is one of the most widely used resistors worldwide.

The ORNTA5000AT1 is available in various sizes and configurations. It is composed of 4, 6, 8 and 12 resistors arranged in parallel, each rated at a maximum current of 0.5 Amps. This product comes with a surface-mounted, “C-shape” metal case and is supplied with a variety of mounting options such as pin and tab. In addition, there is an option for the resistors to be arranged side-by-side in a single-row or two-row configuration. The voltage rating of the ORNTA5000AT1 ranges from 5 to 250 volts, depending on the size of the resistor.

ORNTA5000AT1’s working principle is based on simple Ohm’s Law, which states that the current through a resistor is proportional to its voltage and inversely proportional to its resistance. The ORNTA5000AT1 is designed to have resistors of different values connected in parallel or in series to create a resistor network, which can then be used to regulate the current and voltage flow. In a parallel circuit, the voltage is constant and the current is dependent on the resistance. In a series circuit, the current is constant and the voltage is dependent on the resistance.
