Working Principle

The OS32C-SN-4M works with a beam pattern similar to a one-way mirror. Every LED emits its beam from its side, while the opposite side is equipped with receivers. The LED beacon and the receiver form an optical beam which, when blocked or interrupted, is read by the controller unit. This trigger the machine shut-down mechanism in the system to counter any accidental object injection into the zone of operation.

Each of the 32 LED pairs can detect objects with a distance of gap of just 4mm, and can be adjusted to a maximum limit of 16mm, making it ideal for guarding fragile and small components in tight assembly lines. The OS32C-SN-4M also has an open beam detection system with a maximum beam interruption time of only 25 ms. It makes this device ideal for high-speed machinery, reduced field of view, and smaller guarding areas.
