Working Principle
OV09734-GA5A image sensor works by detecting photons entering the camera’s image sensor via its optical lens. The photons are then converted to an electronic signal and the data collected is turned into an image file. The image sensor has three types of photodiodes: a large photodiode, a smaller, more sensitive photodiode and a low-noise photodiode. The larger photodiode is used for daytime photography, while the smaller, more sensitive photodiode is used for nighttime photography. The low-noise photodiode is used for capturing images in difficult lighting conditions.
When light enters the camera lens, it passes through the lens to the image sensor. The image sensor then converts the photons into electrons, which are then transferred to a charge-coupled device (CCD). The CCD then processes the electrons and converts them into a digital image. This process is called conversion from analog to digital.
