The P048F048M24AL-CB evaluation board is an off line SMPS belonging to DC/DC & AC/DC. It is an evaluation board designed to provide a general platform for testing high voltage components such as diodes, transistors, capacitors, and regulators.The function of the P048F048M24AL-CB evaluation board is to regulate AC power input from a switch mode power supply to the desired DC voltage level. The board provides a wide input voltage operating range of 2-48V and a wide output voltage range of 0-48V. The board also offers a variety of protection features such as input over voltage, input under voltage, over temperature, over current, and output open circuit protection.The output current of the P048F048M24AL-CB evaluation board can be adjusted by a single resistor and varies from 0 to 500mA. The board also has two status LEDs, one indicating power on and the other indicating output voltage regulation.The main components of the P048F048M24AL-CB evaluation board are AC/DC converter, DC-DC converter, main power MOSFET (Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistor), high-voltage capacitor, and various protection circuits.The AC/DC converter converts an input AC voltage to a regulated DC voltage for use by the rest of the board.
