The P048F048T24AL-CB is an excellent solution for applications requiring high performance DC/DC and AC/DC (off-line) switch mode power supplies (SMPS). This evaluation board provides an efficient and robust method to test, evaluate and develop SMPS products. This board is specifically designed to test DC/DC and AC/DC (off-line) switch mode power supplies, and features numerous design considerations to aid performance, including improved switch-mode control, ripple reduction, improved transient response, and increased efficiency.

The board utilizes differential current sense for accurate current sensing. The differential current sense approach offers a higher accuracy level compared to traditional sense methods. It also allows for the possibility of the accurate adjustment of current sense resistor values. This control permits output current to be adjusted accurately and easily, without the need to rewire the board. This design consideration improves accuracy and reduces tuning times.

The P048F048T24AL-CB evaluation board also provides a built-in voltage regulation function. This allows the user to maintain a desired output voltage over varying input voltage conditions. The voltage regulator consists of an adjustable bias voltage generator, two voltage reference components, and an op-amp.
