Thyristors, also known as solid-state relays, are electrical switches which are found in a variety of devices and appliances. The P4202AB is a thyristor specifically designed for switching high voltage loads quickly and reliably. It is a three-terminal, unidirectional semiconductor device which is capable of controlling current or voltage loads up to 8A and 600V respectively. The primary purpose of the P4202AB is to control the amount of electrical current or voltage that is present at any given time.
