Integrated into a single package with high performance, low power and small footprint, this device provides several useful assets for a variety of applications. Equipped with a low-noise amplifier and wide frequency range, the PA441DW can be employed in a variety of instrumentation, microphone preamplifiers, audio amplifiers, and signal converters. By having the capability to perform its intended function in one integrated package, the format is ideal for applications requiring quick and simple implementation and low power consumption. With its small footprint, the PA441DW makes it easy to incorporate into a variety of applications, including portable or handheld systems. In addition, its high performance and low current requirments further make this device suitable for battery-powered devices.The PA441DW is designed to have a low offset voltage and low output noise level. The offset voltage is kept to ± 5 mV, while the noise is low enough to provide excellent signal-to-noise ratio to +150 dB. The wide operating temperature range of -40 to +85 °C, makes it suitable for a variety of applications.The PA441DW unit is compact and easy to use with the different pins providing different functions without the need for additional components. The differential gain and phase of the PA441DW can be controlled from 10mV to 1V, based on the voltage being supplied to the gain pins.The unit provides a low-noise amplifier and wide frequency range for accurate and stable amplification. The input stage of the PA441DW has three pins; the input, the common voltage and the gain pin. The gain pin takes a voltage to control the gain, while the input pin takes a differential input that is amplified. The common voltage pin is provided to control the reference voltage of the input pins. The output stage contains two pins; the out and outb, which provide the amplified differential output. The output of the PA441DW utilizes an adjustable gain and output stage common-mode feedback, which allows the output to range from 0-2.5V in normal operation and 0-5V in attenuation mode. The gain steps are programmable and can be adjusted to minimize the output noise, thereby maintaining a low distortion for a given gain setting. In addition, the PA441DW has a built-in temperature compensation feature which helps to maintain a constant output at various operating temperatures. The device also includes a circuit that prevents thermal runaway from occurring in the event that the device is overloaded. The PA441DW provides a variety of features and benefits which makes it an ideal choice for a variety of applications. The integrated low-noise amplifier and wide frequency range are ideal for use in instrumentation, microphone pre-amplifiers, audio amplifiers, signal converters and other applications.
