The PA51A is an instrumentation amplifier that is used in a wide variety of applications. It is also known as a precision amplifier due to its high level of accuracy and resolution. The PA51A has three gain stages: the differential input stage, the non-inverting gain stage and the inverting gain stage. The PA51A works with a wide range of power supplies from +5V to +15V. It has a wide input voltage range from -8V to +8V and it can handle an output voltage range from -8V to +8V. The output impedance of the amplifier is typically 100 Ω. This amplifier has low power consumption, it uses about 5mA of current at a +15V supply and it is capable of delivering up to 900mVrms output voltage.
The PA51A amplifier also provides a high level of accuracy with a guaranteed output of 0.5% over entire temperature range. It has low noise levels with a signal to noise ratio of greater than 67 dB at a gain of 10, and a low distortion with a maximum THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) of 0.2%.
