The PA85 is an instrumentation op-amp designed to provide excellent accuracy, stability, and reliability in most applications. It is suitable for use in low-level instrumentation and control circuits such as AC/DC and DC/DC converters, data acquisition systems, automotive and industrial control systems, and even medical instrumentation.

The PA85 is a general-purpose operational amplifier that provides 0.8 V/μs slew rate, 38MHz gain bandwidth, 1.0 μA supply current, and 10 mA output drive capability. It features a comparatively wide range of input and output voltage swings as well as a wide bandwidth of -3dB at 6MHz. It has a low input offset voltage at 0.75mV and a low input bias current of 1.5pA. The supply voltage range is 4.75 V to 16.5 V.

The working principle of the PA85 is simple. It has two inputs and one output. The inputs are referred to as the inverting and non-inverting inputs. The output voltage is equal to the differential voltage between the two inputs multiplied by a gain factor set by the user. The inverting input is used as the reference for the output voltage and the non-inverting input is connected to the voltage input. The device then amplifies the difference between the two inputs, unless the gain is set to zero.

The PA85 has a slew rate of 0.8 V/μs and an open-loop gain of 1 million or greater.
