PAM8603EDHR

The PAM8603EDHR is a linear audio amplifier IC designed for direct drive of tabletop radios, external speakers, and low-power home audio systems. Working Principle

The PAM8603EDHR works with a single supply voltage between 3.5 V and 25 V and utilizes a 3 dB gain-set architecture with a user-controlled variable attenuator. The input signal is filtered through a low-pass filter and passes through a wideband voltage-gain stage and two variable gain stages, thereby controlling the output power. The music quality control logic sets the variable attenuator to achieve the desired audio performance.

The output power is adjustable over the pre-setted voltage range by setting the attenuator, resulting in an enhanced dynamic range and improved efficiency. Additionally, the device has a short-circuit protection and a mute function, and is built with an advanced bipolar process technology to ensure excellent sound quality.
