Working Principle:
The PCA8574TS/112 is a bidirectional I/O expander that enables the user to input or output data from the connected microcontroller or any other device with I/Os. When the microcontroller or other device sends data to the PCA8574TS/112, the I/O expander receives the data as a digital signal and stores it in its memory banks. Later, when the I/O expander outputs the stored data, it reconverts the data into an analog signal that can be used by the connected device and the other associated components.

The PCA8574TS/112 supports two different operating modes, the "record and play" operation mode and the "interactive" operation mode. In the "record and play" mode, the PCA8574TS/112 can record and store up to eight different I/Os. Later, when the data is required, it will output the pre-recorded data in a predetermined order.
