The PCA9518DW (single-channel) and PCA9519DW (dual-channel) are advanced multi-channel bus converters with built-in Digital-Analogue conversion functions made by NXP Semiconductors. The PCA9518DW device integrates two devices – the PCA9518 and PCA8519 – into one package. It provides a versatile digital interface, enhanced signal integrity and lower power consumption for communication between embedded systems and CAN, I2C, SPI, UART and unified interface controller communications.
The PCA9518DW is precisely tailored for embedded systems, anti-collision and vehicle to vehicle communication applications, capable of providing of up to a 4 Mbps signal rate and consuming a mere 2.8mA active current. The PCA9518DW is extremely flexible, featuring both single and dual channel options for connection to multiple systems and networks. Its highly integrated gate array architecture accelerates signal and data transfer, reduces power consumption and simplifies system implementation. The device also offers an integrated Digital-Analogue (D/A) converter with 14 sub-channels to provide superior performance and minimal power consumption. This feature allows the device to respond to input signals faster than traditional solutions, providing an advanced signal integrity edge in ever-changing networking environments.
The PCA9518DW is made up of a few key components; a core base module, dual Input/Output buses, a Digital-Analogue (D/A) converter and a Flexbus connector.
