The PCM5100PW is an industrial-grade eight-channel analog-to-digital converter (ADC) designed for industrial applications requiring high accuracy and reliability. It’s part of the industrial-grade PCM series quaternary encoder line and provides superior performance in terms of accuracy, resolution, throughput and flexibility. The optimized design of the PCM5100PW achieves a sampling rate of up to 8 channels with a 15-bit resolution, a maximum speed of 400 MHz, and a throughput of up to 2520 samples-per-second.

The PCM5100PW operates on a three-phase quaternary encoder system that features an 8-bit-to-16-bit channel resolution. The system samples the input data word, identifies the 8-bit-to-16-bit sized value and encodes it into an 8-bit-to-16-bit sized output word. The PCM-5100PW also allows for a 4-bit computational price option. The quaternary encoder system also allows for the recognition and completion of 10-bit-to-32-bit sized data words.

The PCM5100PW is suited for data acquisition applications requiring exceptional accuracy and resolution. Due to its multitask capabilities, the unit is capable of performing complex algorithms as well as multiple input processing.
