Aluminum - Polymer capacitors are capacitors produced using an anode in an aluminum electrolytic. They are manufactured by constructing conductive polymer elements on an aluminum substrate and an anode as the second electrode in an electrolyte. The latter is either a solid polymer film or a liquid (a gel). These capacitors have a dielectric with a much higher capacitance than that of aluminum electrolytic capacitors.
