PD10A545 is a power relay designed for applications that require more than 2 amps of current, such as controlling the operation of electric motors, lighting circuits, heating elements, and other medium-voltage loads. The PD10A545 is designed for up to 10A of switching current and 545V of ac/dc voltage. The relay can switch both AC and DC, and is compatibile with a wide range of control signal voltage and load voltage.

The design of the PD10A545 is based on a shielded, latching coil mechanism, which reduces the size and cost of the relay, while providing high switching performance. When a voltage is applied to the control coil, an electromagnetic field is generated inside the coil, causing the latching contact to close, thus turning the “on” position on the relay and switching the load. Reversing the voltage on the control coil will cause the latching contacts to open, turning the “off” position of the relay and switching the load off.
