PFE50048/T Application Field and Working Principle

The input rectifying bridges are composed of two diodes each. The output rectifying bridges are composed of four diodes.The PFE50048/T uses a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) to achieve a controlled, high efficiency AC current. In this way, the switching on and off time is controlled with a chopping frequency, which makes the current outputted from the main circuit a square-wave low-frequency model. The voltage feedback and the overvoltage protection circuits help to control the output voltage and keep it within safe parameters on both the high and low ends. The PFE50048/T has a high efficiency rate of up to 95%, with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +100°C. It has a wide input voltage range of 8.5 to 36V and an output voltage range of 6 to 12V.
