The PI3USB14-ALE is an asynchronous, low-voltage FET switch designed to interface low voltage logic with higher voltage applications. It can provide voltage translation between logic levels, map logic states to power levels, and interface differential/single-ended logic to power lines. The PI3USB14-ALE is a dual 4-input cross-armed logic switch that features a 5V-to-3.35V level translator, a single-ended input buffer and four double-pole single-throw switches.

The PI3USB14-ALE is ideal for applications that need to interface between different voltages. It can be used in battery-powered or device-ports providing ideal systems designs that do not need level translators. On the low side, a CMOS switch is used, with a resistor across the switch allowing the voltage level to be adjusted. The logic switch output on the high side is clamped by two diodes, whereas the low side is clamped by three diodes.
