The PI49FCT20802QE is a low skew, high-performance clock distribution device designed for use in mission-critical applications; most notably ones in the industrial, medical and aerospace industries. These precision parts feature an integrated Programmable Interval Timer (PIT) and an innovative user-configurable clock tree. The PI49FCT20802QE is also an extremely energy-efficient device, having drawn less power than other commercial-grade parts.The PI49FCT20802QE has been optimized for clock buffering and driving applications. The device offers up to four independent clock outputs, each of which can be calibrated to have exceedingly low timing skew. Moreover, it can provide up to six additional independent clock outputs using its integrated Programmable Interval Timer, enabling the device to clock a wide range of data rates and clock frequencies. This makes the device an attractive candidate for a variety of clock buffering and data timing applications, such as LED and LCD display backlighting, digital satellite television systems, industrial instrumentation and control systems, and medical imaging systems.The PI49FCT20802QE operates by taking in a single input clock signal and then driving it out to multiple outputs, each of which can be configured to clock independent data rates.
