PI49FCT3806HE is a clock buffer device designed to distribute and/or condition a base clock signal to a line of outputs. The device offers both odd- and even- ing edge phase delay selection and three modes of operation (buffering, stripping, fanout). It is the ideal choice for applications that require the signal integrity and low signal skew demanded for high-performance systems where multiple outputs with different signal phases are required.

The PI49FCT3806HE operates in a buffering mode when the buffer enable input (BE) is low (L). In this mode, the clock signal is buffered on each output. A charge pump circuit uses outputs to supply VCC voltage to each output. In the buffering mode, the even- and odd-edge phases are both delayed by one full clock period. The PI49FCT3806HE operates in a stripping mode when the BE input is high (H). In this mode, the phase delay is reduced to one-fourth of a clock period.
