The PI49FCT3807AQ is a monolithic clock/timing device that combines a clock buffer and Clock / Timing driver in one. It is designed to buffer a low frequency Crystal based clock signal with a 3.3V supply voltage, allowing for efficient distortion across a variety of frequencies. The device is an ideal choice for applications where an asynchronous clock is required and its flexibility makes it suitable for point-to-point switching, clock regeneration, or frequency conversion.The PI49FCT3807AQ clock buffer has two outputs, one Primary Output (POUT) and one Secondary Output (SOUT). The Primary Output can provide a low jitter output that is synchronized to the clock input. The Secondary Output is then used for clock multiplication or division and can also be used for fan-out applications. The device features a wide range of output frequencies from 20MHz to 370MHz and a wide range of output levels from 1.2V to 3.3V at the rated frequency. The outputs have an output enables (Output Enables) and frame synchronous operation (Frame Synchronous) that can be programmed over a wide range of frequencies. The outputs are powered by a 0.4V to 3.3V supply and can be operated at frequencies up to 372MHz.The PI49FCT3807AQ clock buffer is designed to reduce jitter, ensure greater reliability and maintain a smaller error budget. It has an input CMOS comparator, which can be individually programmed to detect low or high edges, and two independent clocking stages. The Low Frequency Crystal Input (LFCI) is used to provide a low phase noise, low jitter clock signal to the device. The LFCI can be configured to accept multiple crystal frequencies. The device also provides an Output Time Switch (OTS) feature that allows for low jitter outputs during transitions between clock sources and/or during high frequency applications and thermal states. The OTS feature also offers true simultaneous exchange mode (SE) of both output signals, which can be used for frequency conversion.The PI49FCT3807AQ Clock Buffer offers the flexibility and performance necessary for a variety of timing and clock management applications.
