The PI6CG18401ZHIEX also includes programmable reference inputs to provide flexibility of clock signal generation from a single device. The programmable reference inputs include embedded crystal oscillators, a crystal oscillator bypass mode and support for a wide range of external oscillator devices.

The clock synthesizer provides up to 15 clock signal outputs with fast lock-to-frequency times that can be programmed to 250ms or less. Clock output frequency stability can be improved to ±1% with a single adjustment.
