PI6C48535-11BLIEX is an ultra-low jitter, low power & low skew clock fanout buffer. The chip is used in industrial automation & communication, telecoms, HDDs, and broadcast markets. It provides superior accuracy and phase stability at incredibly low phase and frequency jitter, offset and delta phase error. The PI6C48535-11BLIEX is a Clock/Timing - Clock Buffers, Drivers device. It has five outputs that are capable of providing ultra-stable, low-jitter clock signals from various sources. The device is designed to work as both a fan-in device, receiving a single-ended clock source from a system clock source, and as a fan-out device, supplying multiple low-skew & low-jitter outputs from a single source. When used as a fan-in device, the PI6C48535-11BLIEX can accept signals up to 400MHz or 900ps duty cycle. When used as a fan-out device, the outputs are stable up to 400MHz.
The design of the PI6C48535-11BLIEX utilizes proprietary algorithms to reduce the jitter of the output clocks. This jitter reduction process has three main benefits. First, it can provide a better signal-to-noise ratio, since the improved jitter, offset and delta phase error can significantly reduce cross-talk, crosstalk delays, and bit error rates. Second, it guarantees accurate timing in oscilloscopes and other oscilloscope-based measurements. Finally, it can significantly lower the power consumption of a system by reducing the clock\'s jitter related power consumption.
