PI6CV857BAE, or Pericom Inverter, is a highly integrated application-specific integrated circuit developed for Clock/Timing applications. It is a high-performance, low power, and small-sized device, ideal for small spaces. The component converts signals from high frequency to low frequency and also provides high accuracy switching between AC and DC operations. It has great flexibility in both single-ended and differential signal applications.The PI6CV857 offers a wide range of features that include: low propagation delay, power on/off reset, selectable frequency range and control, output frequency optimization for AC/DC operation, adjustable duty cycle, parallel output, low jitter, and wide voltage and temperature range. Thanks to its sophisticated design and advanced technological expertise, it is a reliable component for use in a variety of Clock/Timing applications.The chip works by converting the input signal from a high frequency to a low frequency and adjusting the output in order to optimize the frequency range. The PI6CV857 can generate 3 independent outputs, which can be optimized up to 3 different frequencies. The device also uses a selectable oscillator with a wider frequency range to offer more flexibility and accuracy in the operation.The frequency range of the chip is wide and it can accommodate input frequencies from 0 Hz to 4 MHz (single-ended). For differential signals, the range increases to 8 MHz. Thanks to its adjustable duty cycles, the chip can provide an optimized signal for both AC and DC applications. The adjustable duty cycles can be used to generate square waves, sine waves and a variety of skewed waveforms.The chip is ideal for any Clock/Timing applications where precise frequency and signal timing is required. It can be used in automotive, industrial and consumer applications, such as clocks, television systems, satellite receivers, scanners and other electronic devices.The chip provides a wide range of features that make it a reliable component for Clock/Timing applications.
