The PI7C9X7952BFDEX is a small and highly efficient bridge providing a full PCI Express protocol family of interfaces for easy interfacing between PCI Express interface and CPU, DMA and other related devices. It can be used for data transfer, management and control functions in a wide range of applications and is particularly suitable for applications that require high-speed data transfer. This bridge supports all the important features of PCI Express, including fundamental protocol functions such as power management, extended configuration space, system error reporting and support, flow control, and end-to-end data integrity. An aggregate 8-lane PCI Express (x8) to 8-lane (x8) bridge is found inside the PI7C9X7952BFDEX, which can expand or logical link two PCI Express interfaces together.
