The PIC24EP512MC204-I/PT is a member of the PIC24E family of 16-bit microcontrollers (MCUs). It is an embedded application specific chip designed to meet the needs of a variety of embedded control and monitoring applications. It has an easy to use interface, low power consumption and small package size. The MCU is mainly targeting industrial control, automotive, medical, and home automation applications.

The PIC24EP512MC204-I/PT MCU features a powerful Core Independent Peripherals (CIP) for maximum system on a chip integration. It includes 8KB of EEPROM memory, 6 Analog to Digital (A/D) Converters, 20 digital I/O ports and timers, 1 USART port, 1 SPI/I2C communication interface, and two general purpose 16-bit timers.

The chip is based on the Enhanced Low-power 16-bit Microcontrollers with 64K Flash, 3K SRAM, 256 bytes EEPROM and 14 I/O Pins. It supports multiple power supply modes such as run, sleep, idle and deep sleep. It has an on-chip oscillator which provides speeds up to 30 MHz and a watchdog timer, UART, and programmable logic cells.

The PIC24EP512MC204-I/PT is equipped with an analog to digital (A/D) converter and a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) module. It also supports hardware interrupts and real-time interrupts. The A/D module consists of 6 channels and 10-bit resolution which supports single-ended or differential input connections and can be used for various applications such as data acquisition, digital control and instrumentation.
