The PIC32MX270F256DT-V/PT microcontroller is an alternative to the traditional 8-bit microcontroller known as the 80C51. This version of the PIC microcontroller series is an advanced 32-bit device with a wide range of features and applications. The PIC32MX270F256DT-V/PT is designed to provide robustness, reliability and low power consumption. It comes in two forms, the PIC32MX270F256DT-V/VR with 256KB Flash Memory, and the PIC32MX270F256DT-V/VT with 512KB Flash Memory. This microcontroller is based on the MIPS M4K Core. It integrates various peripherals including a 10-bit ADC, UARTs, CAN, SPI ports, I2C and other peripherals. It also features enhanced safety features such as brown-out detect and reset capability and watchdog timer. This microcontroller is also accompanied by a wide array of standard connectors like USB, RS232, Ethernet and CAN.
The main application fields of the PIC32MX270F256DT-V/PT microcontroller are in embedded solutions for industrial, aerospace, medical, instrumentation, automotive and consumer applications. As it is based on the MIPS M4K core, it can also be used for running sophisticated graphical user interfaces and real-time operating systems such as Linux or WinCE.
