Functions

Working Principle
The core of PIC602 is a power switch, which can provide up to 40mA load current. It is comprised of an integrated circuit (IC) with several external components including: a resistor, a capacitor, and two pins. The two pins are connected to the terminal of the input voltage, while the resistor and capacitor are connected in series and provide the desired voltage level. The switch is triggered by the voltage signal, turning on or off the power supply. When turned on, the current flows out of the IC and into the load device, while when turned off, no current is present.
The PIC602’s main job is to sense the input voltage and compare it to the reference voltage. When the input voltage drops below the reference voltage, the device turns on and provides the power to the load. At the same time, the device can also detect if the load current is too high. If so, the device will shut off the power, cutting off the connection until the current drops to a safe level.
