Introduction

PL502-02SC is a Dual-Input and Dual-Output Clock Generator from the family of PL series, is designed to generate and distribute multiple LVPECL and LVDS clocks with high accuracy and low jitter. This product contains two independent Clock Generator outputs – operating with independent inputs, each with two types of differential outputs (LVPECL and LVDS).

PL502-02SC Application Field

PL502-02SC Working Principle

Basically, the PL502-02SC Clock Generator consists of two sections – an input section and an output section.

Input Section

This section includes an on-chip PLL, a reference oscillator, an adjustable gain and phase control circuits, and an electronic-gate control circuit. The PLL adjusts the input signal\'s frequency and phase, to match the desired output clock. The reference oscillator is used to synchronize the input signals to the desired frequency.
