It is ideal for Power Line Communications (PLC), industrial DC power systems, and other noise-sensitive applications which require high current capabilities.The PL8803T offers low DC resistance and excellent inductance stability. It is available in a wide range of standard configurations with power ratings of up to 3.2W and peak current capabilities of up to 10A. The device features a wide range of frequency response and can be used in applications ranging from 10kHz to 500kHz. The device also supports a wide range of temperatures, from -40°C to +150°C.The working principle of the PL8803T is based on the utilization of and the combination of a magnetic material and wound coil components. These components work together to create a magnetic field which works to limit the flow of common-mode noise currents. When signal current is introduced, it is pushed through the device in the form of differential-mode noise, at the same time, the magnetic induction forces generated by the device, acts to greatly reduce the magnitude of any common-mode noise currents that may be present.The PL8803T is an ideal fit for a wide variety of applications including PLC, audio/video systems, power line communications, industrial DC power systems, medical devices, communications systems, motor control and voltage protection. Its high power and current capabilities and excellent inductance stability make it an excellent choice for any application which requires low-noise operation. The device is available in both standard and custom configurations and can be used in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +150°C.
