The PM75280080R, like any other DAC, works on the principle of voltage division. The input digital signal is converted into a stepped equivalent voltage using a series of resistors. This voltage division is performed on the digital inputs (pins 10-14) to a maximum of 8-bit or 12-bit resolution. The voltage division is then converted into an analog signal using the integrated digital to analog converter (DAC).
