The PM7701TR is a cost-effective DC-DC Switching Controller with integrated architecture that offers compliant operation for multi-rail system power sequencing, current sharing and load sequencing application fields. On the application side, it is suitable for use in a wide range of communication and consumer products, including 5G base stations and Wi-Fi access points, notebooks and servers, tablets and other consumer electronics. On the specification side, the PM7701TR offers high-efficiency and high-speed operating characteristics that enable reliable operation in floating point applications.
In terms of features, the PM7701TR includes an integrated Buck Buck Regulator (BBR) and a Buck Buck Boost Regulator (BBBR). The BBR provides DC-DC switching regulator control for a wide range of application fields and input voltages. It comes with four power rails and one rail output is possible. It has adjustable frequency up to 1MHz and average output current up to 60A. The BBR also has multiple protection functions such as overcurrent protection (OCP) and overvoltage protection (OVP).The BBBR provides regulated output voltage output with an adjustable voltage range of 1V to 17V. Output current is adjustable up to 15A. The BBBR also has an adjustable maximum peak inductor current limiting function and OCP/OVP support.
In terms of working principle, the PM7701TR consists of a Body Diode Bridge (BDB), an N-channel MOSFET driver and an Internal Control Logic (ICL). The BDB provides the control of the output voltage. In order to modify the output voltage, the BDB is driven by the adjustable voltage range. The N-channel MOSFET driver is used to drive the MOSFETs that make up the voltage switch, which determines the voltage setting from the adjustable voltage range. The ICL enables the power controller to adjust the operating parameters and protection functions in order to respond to the load changes and adapt to the regulating environment.
The PM7701TR is a highly efficient, high speed DC-DC Switching Controller with integrated architecture that enables reliable operation in floating point applications. It offers a wide range of features, including adjustable frequency and current up to 1MHz and 60A respectively, four power rails and one rail output, overcurrent protection, overvoltage protection and adjustable voltage range. In terms of working principle the PM7701TR consists of a Body Diode Bridge, an N-channel MOSFET driver and an Internal Control Logic. All these features and components make the PM7701TR an ideal choice for multi-rail system power sequencing, current sharing and load sequencing applications.
