The PQ1X361M2ZPH is an integrated circuit (IC) voltage regulator developed by Mecerse Technology. It is a high-performance low-dropout (LDO) linear regulator with excellent transient response and low-noise output. The PQ1X361M2ZPH is targeted at embedded systems and microcontrollers, and is ideal for applications that require low power consumption, low external component count and superior quality.The PQ1X361M2ZPH offers both adjustable and fixed output voltage options, with a total output current of 1.5A. It has a wide input voltage range of 3V to 20V, making it suitable for a variety of applications. It is capable of operating with a wide range of external components, and has very low output ripple and noise. The device also features a very low quiescent current (~300μA) for extremely low power consumption in standby mode.The PQ1X361M2ZPH\'s operation can be broken down into two parts: control loop and output stage.The control loop operates on the input voltage and produces control signals for the output stage. These signals regulate the output voltage and protect the device from over-current, over-temperature and short-circuit events. The control loop also contains logic for enable/disable and soft-start functions.The output stage comprises of two components: an error amplifier and a pass element. The error amplifier amplifies the difference between the sensed output voltage and the reference voltage. This amplified voltage error is then supplied to the pass element, which regulates the output voltage. In case of an over-voltage, over-current or over-temperature condition, the control loop will signal the output stage to shut down and the output will be disabled.The PQ1X361M2ZPH has a low thermal resistance of 0.9°C/W and an excellent transient response due to its fast control loop and output stage. The device is packaged in an industry-standard 8-pin SOIC-L package and is pin-compatible with other Mecerse LDO regulators.Overall, the PQ1X361M2ZPH is an excellent low-dropout linear regulator with a wide input voltage range, low output ripple and noise, high output current and low power consumption.
