Working Principle of PRDA-11AJA-120

The PRDA-11AJA-120 Power Relay is a latching relay which works on the principle of electromagnetic force. Its two main components are a coil and a contact armature. The coil is energized with an electric signal from a control source, which creates a magnetic field. This magnetic field pulls the contact armature, closing the contact points. Hence when the relay is energized, the output is closed.

When the input signal is removed, the coil loses its magnetism and the contact armature releases the contacts. This allows the contacts to open again, and the output is no longer being supplied with electricity.
