PS2601

A PS2601 Solid State Relay (SSR) is a device that utilizes semiconductor technology to control a load. PS2601 Working Principle

The PS2601 SSR works by converting input voltage to electrical current that is then used to control the gate of a Triac or other semiconductor device. The control current can then be used to directly control the stator of the motor or the LED power supply. A Zener diode is also integrated into the PS2601 SSR to provide protection against short circuit or overload conditions. The Zener diode is also important for preventing over-voltage conditions that may occur when the load current is suddenly increased.

In most cases, the PS2601 SSR is used as a low voltage switch to turn a load on and off. The two terminals of the PS2601 SSR are connected to the load which is then powered by an AC voltage source. When a positive voltage is applied to the input side of the relay, a current is sent to the gate of the Triac, which then turns on the load. Conversely, when the voltage is removed, the Triac is turned off, thereby cutting off the power to the load.
