PS411025 as a type of single rectifier diode, is widely used in a variety of commercial and industrial applications. Working Principle

The single rectifier diode PS411025 is a PN-junction semiconductor device, consisting of heavily doped P-type semiconductor and N-type semiconductor which are connected back-to-back. When the two terminals are connected, the minority carriers (electrons) drift across the junction and are injected into the N-type semiconductor. This process forms a depletion region around the junction. When a positive voltage is connected to the P-type semiconductor, holes　are injected into the N-type semiconductor. Other electrons in the N-type semiconductor are attracted by the positive voltage, forming a complete conduction path for current flow in one direction.

The junction barriers keep current from flowing in the reverse direction by Forward Bias, which is when the external voltage applied equals or is less than the potential barrier of the junction. Also, the PS411025 has Reverse Bias, which is when the external voltage applied is greater than the potential barrier of the junction. This increases the width of the depletion region and decreases the amount of current flowing.The PS411025 can operate at forward bias up to 10A, and reverse bias up to 50V. They are available in a variety of axial-leaded packages, such as TO-220, TO-252, and SOD-323.
