The PWM switch has two distinct operation modes: the first operates with an on/off switching frequency determined by the duty cycle signal, and the second operates with the PI-controller to regulate the output voltage and switch frequency. The integrated PWM switch is the key to the PT4682C series\' high efficiency.The overall operation of the PT4682C series is based on a voltage-mode control approach. The voltage-mode control approach monitors the output voltage and compares it to a set-point voltage. If the output voltage drops below the set-point voltage, the integrated PWM switch is instructed to move into the on-state, otherwise, it is moved to the off-state. This allows for precise voltage control and minimizes output ripple noises.The PT4682C series is CE, RoHS, and UL approved and can operate at an input voltage range of 3.3V to 5.5V. The PT4682C series is capable of handling very large output current, up to 500 mA, making it a suitable choice for applications that require high efficiency and precise output regulation.
