DC-DC converters are components used in power supply systems that convert a fixed direct current voltage from a higher level to a lower level. A 100% duty cycle results in a drop of only 0.6V while a lower duty cycle results in a greater voltage drop.

This amplifier compares the output voltage to a voltage reference and adjusts the duty cycle of the pulse so that the output is within an acceptable range. This helps to ensure a steady output voltage regardless of changes in load or ambient temperature.

The PT6526ET is a highly efficient solution for providing a low voltage DC output from a higher voltage input. Its low quiescent current and high efficiency make it suitable for a wide range of automotive and other applications.
