Once the current rises above the trip current the fuse will trip and cut off the circuit. Once the current is reduced to below the trip current the fuse will reset and supply the circuit with power.

The working principle of the PTR016V0135-TR is based on the Piezo Sensitive Thermistor. This fuse uses a film of polymeric material to form a thermistor. When the current to the circuits rises, the thermistor heats up. At a set temperature, the thermistor switches to a high resistance state, cutting off the current supply to the circuit. When the current falls back below the trip current, the thermistor cools down and switches back to its low resistance state, allowing the circuit to be powered up again.
