PV71W24-61S L/C is a high-bandwidth low-current DC-DC switching converter suitable for use in various industrial and consumer applications. Application Field

Working Principle
The PV71W24-61S L/C converter is a PWM switched-mode DC-DC converter, whereby the input voltage is first pulsed high and low at a frequency of 100kHz, by using a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) signal. As this happens, the input voltage is step-down, and is then regulated to the required output voltage by varying the duty cycle of the PWM signal. The operation of the converter is based on a synchronous rectification technique, whereby two switches (low-side and high-side) are used to regulate the output current. As the input voltage rises, the low-side switch opens and the high-side switch closes, allowing the input current to flow to the output. Conversely, when the input voltage falls, the low-side switch closes and the high-side switch opens, blocking the current flow. This process is repeated, resulting in an overall step-down in the input voltage.
The PV71W24-61S L/C converter offers several advantages over traditional low-side converters, such as improved efficiency at higher load conditions and increased performance in terms of output ripple percentage. In addition, due to its highly efficient power conversion, it can often reduce the number of overall components needed to complete a system, thus providing a cost saving.
