Application Field

Working Principle

PVY116-TPBF SSR uses opto-isolator technology. An isolated LED module is connected to the power input terminal and a series of electronic components are connected to the output terminal. The LED is powered by the input current, which generates a light signal that activates the power semiconductor, which in turn turns the output load on or off as per the input signal. This ensures maximum insulation between the two terminals, especially in applications handling high voltages and currents.

It also has a built-in control device which monitors the surge protection voltage and current. The SSR has an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. It is offered in various packages like lead, relay, and screw. It has a low operating voltage in the switch off state, while in the switch on state, it has a fast reaction time of 10ms.It is quite durable, and its lifetime is estimated at 3-5 million operations.
