### QT1080-ISG application field and working principle
QT1080-ISG capacitive touch controller or keyless switch is a device that provides benefits of switching or controlling with flexibility and fool-proof safety in a variety of application fields. It is designed with a sensitive intelligence that detects human presence in a defined area and gives a response as we press any button or touched on it.The main architecture of the QT1080-ISG capacitive touch controller includes a base layer, a patterning layer, a sensor layer, and an RFID antenna. On the base layer, an array of open conductive lines is connected to the Vss and the clamp layer ionization paths at different stages. On the patterning layer, a set of four vertical and four horizontal lines are engraved in different shapes and form a grid. On the sensor layer, capacitance coupling occurs between vertical and horizontal lines which generates a signal. The generated signal is sent to the RFID antenna which inturn sends a signal to the capacitive touch controller based on the external field.The working principle of the QT1080-ISG capacitive touch controller is based on the principle of electro-static coupling. A human or any object brought near to the sensing area creates an electric field which results in an increased in electrical capacitance around the objects. The increased electro-static capacitance is sensed by the capacitive touch controller which inturn sends the signal to the RFID antenna. The RFID antenna then sends the signal to the base layer, the patterning layer and finally the sensing layer of the capacitive touch controller. The capacitive touch controller then sends the appropriate output signal in response. The QT1080-ISG capacitive touch controller has a wide range of application fields. It can be used in various touch sensitive applications such as in smart home appliances, industrial control boards, medical equipments, educational boards, vending machines, remote controllers, point-of-sale systems, stress sensors, gesture controlled games and kiosks.
